Oncology Services

Dr Azzurra Naso MRCVS, DVM, BSAVA PGCertSAM is able to accept the following cases:

Second opinion/referral oncology consultation
Diagnostic test: Cytology, histology, tumoral marker identification to make a diagnosis and complete a stage in order to identify the best treatment plan and to have accurate prognostic indication
Diagnostic imaging of the oncology patient:
- Radiographs
- Ultrasound/Contrast-enhanced ultrasound
- Computed Tomography (CT) pre and post contrast for precise characterisation of the primary tumour features, for staging purposes and for treatment planning, mainly surgical and with radiotherapy.
- CT lymphangiography
- Chemotherapy including injectable drugs, metronomic chemotherapy, target therapy and palliative treatments
- Electrochemotherapy, mainly used for the local control of superficial cutaneous tumours:
  - cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas
  - soft tissue sarcoma
  - mast cell tumour
  - perianal tumours
  - localized cutaneous lymphoma
- Pets with tumours of the mouth can also often benefit – typically treatment of
  - oral melanomas
  - squamous cell carcinomas
  - acanthomatous ameloblastoma
