Ripley – Skin

Skin complaint Ripley was presented to Dr Carly Mason our Dermatologist. His owner reports that he is itchy, chews his feet and smells yeasty. Oreo – Cardiology

Cardiology Oreo was presented to Cardiologist Dr Babis Koffas, as his owner had noted abnormal breathing episodes at home. He’d previously had radiographs at his first opinion vets which had highlighted a possible mediastinal mass and an abnormal cardiac silhouette. Dr Babis performed a cardiac ultrasound and Electrocardiogram. Both showed normal cardiac function. The ultrasound did again, highlight the medistinal mass so a CT was advised. CT and Laryngoscope Mr Biggles was presented to Dr Kaye Gugich and Dr John Parker after he started sneezing and having seizures at home. It was advised to start him on antibiotics for 1 week to see if the sneezing was a bacterial infection, but he had another seizure over the weekend. CT imagining – suspected foreign body Matt, a Cypriot rescue, was rehomed about 4 months ago. A lump was found on his flank, which burst. Herniated Disc Ruby was presented to surgeon Dr Pierre Barreau with spinal pain. A CT scan was performed to identify the problem. The CT showed a herniated sacral disc that required surgery. The intervertebral disc (IVD) is a spongy, doughnut shaped pad in the main joint between the vertebrae. The disc lies just underneath the spinal cord in dogs and cats. Urinary conditions Archie was presented to Dr Azzurra Naso for ongoing urinary tract infections (UTIs). A full urinalysis has been started at our external laboratory and a CT scan was performed. Herniated disc Pippa was presented to Dr Pierre Barreau for severe neck pain. On clinical examination Pippa was walking with an arched back and the neck kept in a lower position. Palpation of the spine was painful. Appart from pain, neurological examination was normal. A CT scan was performed.
