We are delighted to introduce Shannon Gaffaney, Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology.  She will be leading our new ophthalmology second opinion and referral service at Godstone.

Shannon has been passionate about animals from a very young age. She grew up in California with dogs, cats, horses and a few other ‘smallies’.  She jumped at every opportunity to pursue her veterinary ambitions, which eventually brought her to the UK.

Qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001, her interest in veterinary ophthalmology began over 20 years ago.  She continued further studies in this field alongside general practice. Shannon obtained her BSAVA Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology in 2021 and is an RCVS Advance Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology.

Shannon is excited to be part of a dynamic team at Godstone referrals, providing high quality ophthalmology services in medicine and surgery.
